Long Position
A position that profits when an asset's price increases.
In-Depth Explanation
Going long means buying an asset or opening a derivatives position that gains value as price rises. 'I'm long ETH' means you benefit from ETH appreciation. Long positions can be leveraged (using borrowed funds) or spot (simply holding). Most retail crypto participants are structurally long by holding tokens.
